Crafty Amy

Yep, I'm still alive. haha Just haven't blogged for a while. I have to let you in on a secret.. I used to update my blog first thing in the morning when I arrive at work. You see, my cubicle was in a far corner of the room and my computer wasn't really visible to anyone but me. So in the mornings and whenever work got a bit too much, I could get a few minutes and de-stress by posting something.

Well, that's not the case anymore! The company decided to shuffle everyone's space and change the layouts. So now I'm in the middle of the whole room and in full view of everyone! Don't worry, I promise it wasn't because of blogging. We all chose our spaces but by the time it was my team's turn, all the good spots were already taken. Darn. Ah well, I guess that's goodbye to my happy blogging days.. I'll just be posting whenever I can. I do hope you'd still stick with me..

So anyway, today's a weekend. Normally, hubby and I would be at the mall for a movie date or just lounging around at home. But today, he's out with his brothers for a little bonding time over a few beers.

SO! I got some wonderful time for myself! :) And I'm spending it by sharing another craft room with you. :)

This is Amy's space..

I particularly love that she wrote about her "ribbon paper / ribbon holder thingy". That's how she calls it. :) It looks like this..

Yeah, yeah, I know you've seen hundreds like this. But! You haven't seen how her carpenter made this one.. :) Head on over to Playing Sublimely and grab a few tips and tricks from Amy!

Meanwhile, I'm gonna go treat my feet to a pedicure and an ultra relaxing foot spa! :) Til next time!

Off to China!

Hi, ladies!! Guess what? I'm really, really, really, really excited to say... I'm off to Beijing, China!! Ron and I are celebrating our first anniversary and we thought, well, what better way to celebrate than take our first out-of-the-country trip together? Sort of like a second honeymoon. Only my mum and aunt will be tagging along. *sigh* Spoilsports. lol Nah, I love them both to pieces and we're happy they're coming with us! Actually, we invited them. The more, the merrier! :)

This is a scheduled post by the way. Knowing me, I'm probably running around the house for some last-minute packing by the time you read this. And Ron is probably rolling his eyes and sighing at my harassed state knowing that he's told me a dozen times to pack ahead of time. hihi Yep, we make a good team. Anyway, I knew I'd never get any blogging done on the day we leave. Hence, the scheduled post. And a few more scheduled posts for the next few days so you won't miss me! :) lol

When Shelves and Baskets are Not Enough...

There's always the door!

Betcha never thought of using it for ribbons huh? Check out Clair's blog for more ideas.

I want to thank everyone who has joined my blog giveaway and my followers (old and new) too for your support! I've planned to message each and everyone of you to thank you personally especially those of you who are new here.. but my day job has been driving me nuts for the past days (I just got off a plane a few hours ago) and I haven't had as much time as I hoped I would.. Please know I'm grateful for your support and I'm always, always happy *and flattered* by your visits and comments. :)

Oh and if you have a craft room or any part of it you'd want to share, please do! You'll be saving me some precious minutes of looking for craft room ideas. lol PLUS, I would definitely prefer to feature anyone of you here than anyone else somewhere else. Dunno if that made sense. Dee-I-Y

Not quite finished with Dee yet.. :) Here's another one from her blog, Books & Bits & Pieces.

Dee and her husband are bookworms and naturally can never have too many shelves. Hey, that sounds like us! At least for the "can never have too many shelves" part. That being the case, we all know for sure that shelves aren't really sold a dime a dozen like how I've always dreamed them to be. So Dee created a solution... Wooden boxes!!

Awesome! See her post to see how she went about it. :)

Tip Time!

Don't want to have to open drawers for things you need almost every minute?

A Tip from Noodle-Head

This should also come in handy if you have kids who find drawers very interesting. Kids and sharp objects never go so well together.. :) See her post here.

Finally! A super easy way to store ribbons and wrapping paper with just a frame and some curtain rods! I love it! Just make sure the rods are distanced from the wall enough for your ribbons and all the rolling! On to 33 Shades of Green for a how-to-do!

Bye-Bye, Baby

Now that the kids are all grown up and some have even left home to spare you from cleaning messy rooms, why not convert the old, dusty, forgotten crib into some much-needed storage space?

It's a Wrap!

If you don't really love storing your wrapping papers in pails like what I posted here, I found you another DIY! :)

Thrifty Decor Chick

Isn't it great that us fellow crafties love sharing our brilliant ideas? :)

Anyhoodle, I was wondering.. I've been putting a lot of thought {and work} into this blog and I really, really appreciate all the lovely ladies who have contacted me to say they're loving it {awww.. shucks *blush*}. THANK YOU. You don't know how much it means to me to know that at least one person is enjoying it. :) Since the reason I created this blog was to provide inspiration, I wanted to ask you all if this is working for you or if you'd want me to add anything into the contents..

Would you like me to keep on giving you purely craft room ideas? Would you like some home decor tips as well or any other great something I stumble upon while scouring the net for hours?

I've also thought about adding a giveaway linky here. Having put up my first giveaway, I recently realized how hard it is to spread the word. So I wanted to create a new page where you awesome people can post your giveaways AND at the same time browse other people's blog candies and play along. Sound okay to you?

Any other thoughts? Hope you'll let me know! :) I'd love to hear all of them. Comment here or email me at rezzhelle(at)yahoo(dot)com.

From someone who was so hesitant to put up this blog, thank you so much for your support and for appreciating the simple stuff I do. :) *sniff*
