I'm gonna let it Shine!

Sunshine has brightened my day! I'm not talking about the sun, silly, though it is a bright and sunny day. I'm talking about a talented lady named Sunshine. Shine is a scrapbooker from the Philippines who's currently in Canada for work and a vacation. I'd love to talk about her space but I'll let her do this in her own words. :) Her room is gorgeous! There. I had to get that out of my system.

------------------------------

I've been a scrapper since 2004. Officially that is. I remember back in high school, when scrapbooking meant cutting up magazines and compiling photos and sticking them onto a sticky back album (remember those?!?!) Yep! I started early in life... Anything that I could cut up, doodle on, and adhere... I would.
Then I met a friend who introduced me to Michael's Craft Store... Ooh, I was in love!! :) Paper in all sorts of colors, glue, glitter, scissors, punches!! Like a little girl lost in a candy store!!!

I love scrapping about my family -- my five siblings, Robbie, Kristen, Alex, George and Jorge, Mom and Dad, and the latest addition to our family, Jaden. :) I love creating mini albums... Instant gratification. And I'll create them from cereal boxes, starbucks hot cup sleeves, corrugated board, anything I can get my hands on!! I love that I can sit for an afternoon and come up with something so special!

My scrap-studio was a work in progress. It started as a little room, with barely anything in it... A few months later, I decided to convert my super bare living room into my studio. The studio can hold 8 to 12 scrappers comfortably. The studio offers use of tools such as:
* the Cricut expression, with over 15 cartridges to choose from
* Quickutz handtool with hundreds of dies to play with
* the Sizzix Big Shot machine
the Cuttlebug
* tools like: crop-a-dile, 12-inch paper trimmers, personal cutters, punchers, etc.

My favorite part of my scraproom/studio is the shelf where all my stickles and paints are sitting. I love looking at the colors and just drawing inspiration from them! :)

Tip: In as much as there are plenty, plenty, plenty of embellies coming out almost everyday, don't forget about the true artist that lies in YOU! :) Look around your table and pick up pieces of paper, stickers, etc and MAKE an embellishment that is all YOU, that way as you write your family's history, there's more of YOU in every page! :)

Happy Scrappin'!

If you're living in the Philippines, you're in luck because Shine is prepping for a special event when she comes home! She'll start giving updates soon so make sure to "Like" her fan page, Treasured Memories, so you won't miss anything. You might regret it if you don't. Just sayin'...
